Greetings! If locating funding sources for your small business seems perplexing, and managing the funds you currently have is just as baffling, then you need to attend the next MyEntreNet online seminar at 7:00 PM Monday, November 20th! Welcome co-presenters Jon Ryan and Tom Harbison who’ll help take the confusion out of “Managing Cashflow and Seeking Funds”. Jon Ryan is State Director of the Iowa Small Business Development Centers. Prior service includes center director for the Eastern Iowa SBDC for 17 years, bank vice president and college vice president. Through these roles, Ryan has counseled thousands of clients from one-person start-ups to large manufacturing concerns, and regularly conducts courses and workshops on a wide variety of business, management and leadership topics. Tom Harbison, Deputy District Director for the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Des Moines office has been with the SBA since 1990, Tom works with business development, loan processing and servicing, marketing and outreach, and lender training. In addition, Tom is responsible for overseeing a large portion of the programs and services offered by the SBA, including project officer for the Iowa Small Business Development Centers. As you have probably noticed the planters on the square now have had Christmas Trees placed in them for the upcoming holiday season. If you could please take the time to make sure they are stable in the dirt as to stay put and are looking nice. Please also make sure they are staying put in the planters. Our Town Florist's Christmas Home Tours
November 30th 5PM- 8PMOur Town Florist invites you to experience the Christmas spirit with the gracious hospitality of homeowners as you tour their beautifully decorated homes. Their halls will be decked by the design staff from OTF and the creative homeowners themselves. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Our Town Florist, Pizza Hut, and the Knoxville Chamber after Nov. 1st. Proceeds go to S.O.S (Save Our Stadium) Receptions and refreshments following at Our Town Florist.
Cookie Walk Headlining at Holiday Bazaar
Don’t miss the Holiday Bazaar at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 2nd. Last Year’s debut Cookie Walk was a huge hit and will return bigger and better this year! A wide variety of specialty Christmas cookies will be available singly or by the pound. The bazaar will be held from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm at the church located at 1506 S. Attica Road in Knoxville, just southeast of Pine Knolls Golf Course.The bazaar will be sure to have something for everyone preparing for the holidays: * Cookie Walk* Be sure to pick up your favorite holiday treats and cookies this year. One of each or by the dozen at our cookie walk; Craft items, antiques, and collectables for your decorating or gift-giving needs; Home-Made lefse, kringle and other special ethnic treats; Baked-Goods to satisfy every taste; Display of Nativity Scenes with live music in the sanctuary; Gently Used Children’s Holiday clothing and books; Breakfast will be available while you shop starting at 8:30 am; Soup Lunch served starting at 11:00 am.
