LUNCH WITH SANTA
By Teresa RowleyWith just over 100 kids and adults, I have to say that our annual "Lunch with Santa" was a huge success. The Knoxville Lions Club co-sponsored the event with us. What a great group of guys, we couldn’t have done it without them, the Knoxville Fire Department, the businesses who donated to the cause, Fareway, Hometown Meats and Deli, Hy-Vee, Sonic and the nice ladies who made all those fantastic cookies. Something new this year was Treasured Portraits setting up shop to take pictures of the kids with Santa. Big thanks to John! Next year we would like to coordinate some activities at the Library for the kids to do after lunch and incentives for the folks to spend more time downtown shopping. One more thank you to Santa for taking time out of his busy day to spend time with the kids.
