Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Accepts Donation from Knoxville
Sorority, Xi Alpha Tau

KNOXVILLE – Knoxville Hospital & Clinics recently accepted surgery pillows that were made and donated by a Knoxville sorority, Xi Alpha Tau.
While visiting with Amy Zoutte, surgery care coordinator at KHC, Dr. Alda Knight suggested that the surgery department provide pillows to patients which support the incision during coughing and deep breathing. Zoutte took this idea to heart and approached the sorority about this community service project.
Two of the sorority members, Carol Troendle and Beth Northway, work at KHC so this project was extra special to them. In addition, the sorority enlisted the assistance of fellow KHC employee, Diane Myers, to stitch a heart and the hospital initials on every pillow.
Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, a Critical Access Hospital serving Marion County and the surrounding area, is dedicated to providing personal, progressive quality health care with compassion.  For more information regarding this release and other happenings at Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, call the Public Relations office at (641) 842-1418.

A wonderful calendar has been created by the Class of '65 and spearheaded by Ruby Robuck Dursky, with proceeds going to SOS.  It is just amazing, with so many pictures and write-ups about the Stadium.  If you are interested in ordering a calendar please contact Ruby at:
durk@iowatelecom.net  or call 641-842-5644.  Cost per calendar is $12.00 plus $3.00 shipping.  Trust me, this is truly a labor of love and one of the greatest calendars I’ve seen.  You can pre-order and pick your calendar up at the dance January 26th, 2007.  Calendars are also available at the local banks and at the Marion County Courthouse Treasurer’s Office (ask for Candy :-).  I hope this will inspire all KHS classes to get involved :-)
